Dr. Charles Cummings received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Long Island University, Southampton College. He completed medical school in 1982 at CETEC in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Cummings did his residency in internal medicine at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in 1986. In 1988 he completed a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Heart Institute, and in 1989 he completed a specialty year in interventional cardiology, also at the Philadelphia Heart Institute.
Dr. Cummings holds several cardiovascular device patents and has been the Director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at the Sinai Hospital since 1998. He is board certified in internal medicine as well as cardiovascular diseases. His areas of expertise are clinical cardiology, preventive cardiology and interventional cardiology.
