Dr. Martin Engelhardt is a clinical cardiologist with special expertise in nuclear cardiology and advanced echocardiography. He graduated from the cardiovascular fellowship program at the University of Maryland in 2007. His residency training in Internal Medicine was accomplished at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Dr. Engelhardt received his medical degree from the Ruprecht Karls Universitaet in Heidelberg, Germany. His doctoral thesis and publications on highly specialized transport proteins led to his Ph. D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology. Dr. Engelhardt is fluent in German.
Dr. Engelhardt also has a special interest in Preventative Cardiology, as well as cardiovascular effects of exercise and endurance training.
Board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Advanced Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology.
